EDM Machinist

Job Summary: The EDM Machinist is responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of Electrical Discharge Machines to produce high-precision parts and components as per engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup: Prepare EDM machines by installing and securing tooling, fixtures, and work pieces.
• Operation: Operate EDM machines to remove material from work pieces using electrical discharges.
• Quality Control: Inspect work pieces at regular intervals to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on EDM machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and electrode replacement.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an EDM Machine Operator or in a similar machining role.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating EDM machines, including knowledge of CNC programming.
• Strong understanding of materials, tooling, and machining processes.
