Job Description

This role reports directly to the EHS Manager and is responsible for assisting in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.

  • Promote a World Class Environmental, Health & Safety Program and Culture by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and implement processes to reduce risks and hazards.
  • Provide education and training on EHS topics, ensuring employee understanding and adherence.
  • Monitor and test Industrial Hygiene and Safety exposure with contractors.
  • Support Human Resources with work comp claims and other tasks as needed.
  • Facilitate monthly safety training sessions and lead ongoing program improvements.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and property damage.
  • Manage EHS documentation and share communications site-wide.
  • Coordinate new employee safety orientation and ongoing training.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma is required; an associate degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing setting is desired.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Minnesota State EHS regulations and standards is essential.
  • 5+ years of experience in an EHS role or safety committee leadership is preferred.
  • OSHA Certification (30 hours) is highly recommended.

You will also possess strong skills in:

  • Language: reading, interpreting scientific and technical documents, and responding to regulatory inquiries.
  • Math: calculating figures and amounts.
  • Computer: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additionally, you should have:

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A high level of self-discipline and motivation.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • The ability to recognize and adhere to safety policies.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 annually, based on industry standards and regional factors.
