Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at the State of Louisiana. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for coordinating daily HR functions, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post job openings on various platforms, including our website and social media channels.
  • Manage the hiring process, including screening applications, conducting interviews, and verifying candidate information.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding, including providing tax forms and other necessary paperwork.
  • Prepare personnel action forms (PAFs) for personnel actions related to new hires, terminations, promotions, and other employee changes.
  • Verify employee information in our HR system, including Banner, and other relevant systems.
  • Manage background check processes, reconcile monthly invoices, and prepare check requests as needed.
  • Act as a liaison for updates to our website and HR website, including staff and faculty listings.
  • Coordinate the hiring process for student workers and schedule HR training events for employees.
  • Manage employee annual training and annual disclosure forms, including notification, tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations related to I-9 records and other HR matters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, human resources, or a related field.
  • Four years of work experience in a business office environment, with human resources experience preferred.
  • Two years of customer service experience working with the public.
  • Knowledge of Banner and other HR systems is a plus.
