Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging Department at Grand Itasca.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will perform ultrasound procedures, maintain patient records, and provide instruction and guidance to staff and/or students in ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, including pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
  • Instruct and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures.
  • Operate equipment accurately and efficiently, optimizing equipment gain and display.
  • Select transducer appropriate for procedure and perform 2-D/M-mode/Doppler exams.
  • Obtain and prepare images for reading and perform quality assurance and preventive safety testing required on ultrasound equipment.
  • Work closely with the radiologist in developing ultrasound protocols and assist with scheduling ultrasound appointments.
  • Maintain patient records and RIS/PACS competency.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to staff and/or students in ultrasound procedures.

Requirements:

  1. ARDMS registered or obtained post completion of competencies within 1 year.
  2. Basic Life Support certified or obtain within 4 months.
  3. Good computer skills and good interpersonal communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission, and values.
  5. Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
