Job Summary:

Culinary excellence is at the heart of everything we do at Vail Resorts, and our Cooks are no exception. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen, promoting teamwork, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the kitchen team in preparing and cooking meals to the highest standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current menu items and ingredients.
  • Prepare ingredients and maintain par levels to minimize waste.
  • Monitor and report on food waste and inventory levels.
Requirements:
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience; supervisory kitchen experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, practices, and food safety; ServSafe certifications a plus.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work well and communicate with others in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
