Metal Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager

We are a well-established and busy national metal manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Quality Group Leader to join our team at our new facility in Huntsville, AL.
About the Role:- Lead and direct shift quality concerns and duties.
- Oversee the quality of product produced.
- Conduct first part inspections if quality technicians are unavailable.
- Train new employees on their job functions and coach employees to manage their work effectively.
- Provide proper documentation to operators for their scheduled jobs.
This is a direct-hire, long-term career opportunity with lots of room for growth and advancement. The estimated annual salary range is $48,000 - $52,000, plus benefits and incentives.
Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a similar role, be familiar with overseeing regular product checks on the production floor, training quality technicians, and have knowledge of metal manufacturing. We have open positions on both 1st shift and 2nd shift.
Qualifications:- Experience using and programming a FARO Arm is required.
- This position requires reading, writing, and math skills similar to those obtained through a high school education or equivalent.
- Must have working knowledge of all mills, presses, and equipment in their area of responsibility.
- Formal training may be considered as substitution for experience requirements.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to read blueprints and schematics will also contribute to success in this position as well as good written and oral communication skills.
