Position Summary

The Medical Lab Tech - Lead is responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. This role involves developing and maintaining cell and tissue cultures, as well as performing advanced laboratory techniques for specimen isolation and identification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality control procedures to validate test results.
  • Perform stat procedures and analyze testing samples.
  • Assist in the training and development of laboratory personnel.
  • Provide feedback to the Laboratory Manager regarding operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
Qualifications

Required:

  • ASCP or equivalent certification.
  • State of Florida Technologist License.
  • BLS certification (AHA).

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Science is mandatory; Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
