We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Cancer Biology and Genetics at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our vibrant research environment and to develop a cutting-edge research program in cancer biology and genetics. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research productivity and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program
  • Participate in graduate and medical student education
  • Contribute to the department's research and teaching mission
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in Cancer Biology and Genetics or a related field
  • Postdoctoral experience in cancer biology and genetics or a related field
  • Documented evidence of high-quality, impactful research
  • Strong commitment to education and mentoring
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current funding, including K-awards or other early-stage investigator grants
  • Experience with innovative model systems, technologies, or methodological approaches

The Department of Cancer Biology and Genetics is one of 8 basic science departments in the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Our research areas and strengths include DNA damage and repair, cancer metabolism, cancer biomarkers, structure, function and posttranslational modifications of proteins, RNA biology and RNA binding proteins, genetic and epigenetic regulation in cancer, gene therapy, viral integration and biology, and viral dUTPases.
