Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will coordinate medical treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to identified clients. This includes providing a safe and therapeutic environment, supporting clients in accessing natural resources and support systems, and facilitating a seamless transition to community-based resources and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide case management services to clients, including participating in medical treatment planning and monitoring progress towards goals and objectives.
- Assist in locating, coordinating, and monitoring medical, social, and psychiatric services.
- Document and notify all staff of changes in client status.
- Provide emergency services when the client is in crisis.
- Assist with administration of prescription and nonprescription medication.
- Instruct clients in the act of self-administration of prescription and nonprescription medication.
- Provide or coordinate staff training for CPR, first aid, medication management, and infection control.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures and practices for administering and storing medications.
- Document client activity in chart as required by company operating procedure.
- Provide direct assistance or referral to appropriate provider to ensure client obtains basic necessities of daily life, performs basic daily living activities, and develops social skills.
RN, LPN, or Paramedic Certification in the State of South Dakota.
