Job Overview

Position Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Technicians within their designated group. This role entails performing, guiding, supervising, and advising on all maintenance tasks assigned. The individual must foster a constructive and efficient relationship with ACI Jet's personnel, vendors, and clients, either through direct involvement or by managing subordinate staff.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Shop Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to this role (additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed):

  • Provide daily updates to the Maintenance Shop Supervisor.
  • Execute tasks assigned to oneself in alignment with the protocols outlined in ACI Jet's Repair Station and Quality Control Manual (RSQCM) and applicable FAR regulations.
  • Supervise and provide direct oversight to the Maintenance Technicians on the team.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures by each Technician.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and ACI Jet clients to guarantee safe and efficient aircraft repairs and return to service.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients regarding their aircraft, ensuring effective communication about project status.
  • Adhere to all FAR regulations, operational specifications, company policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize appropriate technical data during maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, equipment, and work areas.
  • Ensure all maintenance or alteration activities are completed and documented according to operator requirements and applicable FARs.
  • Submit all necessary work orders, reports, receipts, time cards, and other documentation to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely and organized manner.
  • Foster a productive and beneficial relationship with ACI Jet managers, peers, colleagues, clients, and other repair facilities.
  • Participate actively in ACI Jet's Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS) program to ensure safety and quality in all assigned duties.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong passion for aviation.
  • 5-10 years of experience as an A&P mechanic.
  • Experience with corporate aircraft types (e.g., Citation, Challenger, Gulfstream).
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, utilizing specialized tools, ground support equipment, and aircraft maintenance manuals.
  • Experience supervising multiple line maintenance technicians.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional time management and logistical problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid A&P License.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Possession of personal tools and toolbox.
  • Availability for on-call duties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with advanced proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal training from Gulfstream, Cessna, or Bombardier.

Additional Information

This position is classified as a DOT Safety Sensitive role, requiring participation in a random drug testing program.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $70.00 | Based on experience
