We are seeking a skilled Mainline Technician to join our team at Sonic Automotive. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Receive repair orders from the dispatcher and complete work as outlined with precision and attention to detail.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions, communicating with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
- Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required, notifying the service advisor immediately if additional work is not needed or required.
- Document work performed and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Supervise the work of apprentice technicians as assigned and attend factory-sponsored training classes to stay up-to-date on the latest technical bulletins.
- At least 2-5 years of on-the-job mainline or diagnostic automotive mechanic experience, and/or Auto Tech School certification.
- BMW (or multi) brand experience a plus.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow directions and willingness to learn and mentor teammates.
