We are seeking a skilled Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our team at Carthage Area Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing interventions as needed.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York or eligibility for licensure through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• At least 2 years of recent experience as a Medical-Surgical Nurse, with a strong background in patient care and teamwork.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications as required by specialty.
