About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Wellpath. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality medical services to our patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site clinics and rounds, documenting all services provided in a SOAP format.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide emergency treatment on-site.
  • Support standards of medical care through adherence to existing policies and procedures.
  • Provide input into facility mandatory committees as requested by Site Medical Director or Health Services Administrator.
Qualifications & Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in an accredited school of nursing and an advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred.
  • The patience and tact to deal with the inmate population and the ability to work effectively in the corrections environment.
  • Scheduling flexibility to rotate hours and shifts, if needed, and to be called during emergency situations to provide coverage.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state of employment and current CPR certification.
