Licensed Practical Nurse

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Highmark Health, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to patients and families. Key Responsibilities:
Perform general nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards (30%)
Assist with the preparation of equipment and assist the physician/clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients (20%)
Collect assessment data, prepare patients for examination, and document clinical information on patient records (20%)
Order diagnostic tests as directed by registered nurses or physicians/clinical providers and gather diagnostic tests and/or examine results prior to physician/clinical provider assessment (20%)
Schedule procedures and obtain authorizations as necessary (5%)
May give injections or medication, collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, and prepare them for testing (5%)
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
Current state licensure as an LPN or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
CPR – American Heart Association
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of healthcare experience
State-approved IV course certification
Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process
PALS or ACLS may be required based on the specific area of practice

Pay Range Minimum: $18.66
Pay Range Maximum: $28.65
Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate's qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
