OPPORTUNITY | Litigation Associate
We invite applications from motivated attorneys with a minimum of two years experience in defense litigation. While experience in Workers' Compensation defense is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Candidates must hold a valid license to practice in Florida.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- Strong legal research and analytical capabilities;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills;
- Flexibility to manage multiple cases;
- Familiarity with state and federal court procedures;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Litigation Associate, your responsibilities will encompass managing a diverse caseload with significant litigation defense. You will be expected to:
- Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and memoranda;
- Respond to written discovery and dispositive motions;
- Conduct thorough legal research;
- Prepare and conduct depositions of parties and expert witnesses;
- Review client documentation and provide case evaluations;
- Manage cases from inception through trial;
- Participate in mediations and court appearances;
- Engage directly with clients, claim professionals, and opposing counsel.
