Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Instructor to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As a Chemistry Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching chemistry courses to students, developing and implementing curriculum, and assessing student learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach chemistry courses to students, including general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry
  • Develop and implement curriculum for chemistry courses, including course syllabi and instructional materials
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives
  • Stay current with developments in the field of chemistry and incorporate new knowledge and techniques into teaching and research
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • 18 graduate hours in Chemistry
  • Experience teaching chemistry courses
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and classroom environments
  • Commitment to student success and fostering a positive learning environment
