About the Role

Copper Springs is seeking a highly skilled Activity Therapist to join our clinical services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of "Changing People's Lives".

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with nursing and program staff to achieve therapeutic interventions and contribute to treatment planning.
  • Provide direction and guidance to nursing staff regarding activity-related groups and ensure seamless execution of treatment plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care and input into patient goals.
Requirements
  • Certification as a CTRS, MT-BC, or ATR is required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Recreational, Music, or Art Therapy or a related field.
  • Licensure or certification as per state of practice guidelines.
  • CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
