Join Wabtec's Team as a Locomotive Maintenance Technical Advisor

At Wabtec, we're revolutionizing the way the world moves for future generations. As a Locomotive Maintenance Technical Advisor, you'll play a crucial role in helping our customer, BNSF Railway, maintain their fleet of GE/Wabtec locomotives. You'll work closely with our team of technical and materials experts to ensure our customer's fleet is running at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to railroad employees and management on locomotive maintenance and modifications.
  • Coordinate and provide instruction on key programs and procedures related to locomotive maintenance and modifications.
  • Partner with teams to promote, maintain, and drive continuous improvement in safe work practices while supervising productivity, quality assurance, and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations, OSHA work practices, and industry/site-specific work rules.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness and ability to work various shifts, various days, and work in a shop environment.
  • A high degree of mechanical and/or electrical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Previous related experience is highly preferred, but not required.
