**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Operations Manager to join our team at Fun Town RV. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations for all locations, ensuring all transactions are recorded in compliance with dealership accounting processes and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting.
  • Monitor receivables and ensure timely collection, obtaining reports from respective departments regarding collectability and monitoring bad debt for both allowance and write-off thresholds.
  • Prepare AR risk assessment and communicate with department managers.
  • Prepare or review all monthly reconciliations for vendor statements, researching reconciling items and working with the proper parties to correct in a timely manner.
  • Accurately review bank reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain effective cash management systems to report daily snapshots and weekly/monthly forecasting.
  • Communicate cash needs and trends to the CFO and owners.
  • Review dealership schedules, maintaining final, cleansed copies of each at month-end.
  • Accurately close each month by the given deadline, closing routines including reviewing all balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy, posting accruals as needed, posting depreciation, and reconciling assets and cleansing Motility audit reports.
  • Produce final financial statements for all locations post-close by the given deadline.
  • Maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, including prepaids, accrual accounts, assets, and liabilities.
  • Post depreciation and reconcile assets on financial statements monthly.
  • Perform or assign regular asset assessments at locations to ensure all are properly accounted for.
  • Interpret and analyze financial statements for accuracy and opportunity.
  • Assist the CFO with intercompany reconciliations as assigned.
  • Perform regular internal audits and communicate with external audit teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Work with external partners, such as audit teams, banking, insurance, floor-plan, etc., to maintain business relationships.
  • Prepare documents for external auditors as directed by the CFO.
  • Communicate financial results with appropriate leadership and advise on strategies to reduce expenses and maximize profitability.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
  • Work with the training department to develop training materials for all accounting SOPs, ensuring all accounting staff receives initial training and regular follow-up training as needed based on performance.
  • Ensure all accounting personnel and local office associates are using proper accounting procedures and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement, and assist in the implementation of new processes as adopted.
  • Offer suggestions to the internal software team for future development of efficient dealership accounting programs that may improve accounting processes via technology utilization.
  • Develop weekly accounting meeting schedules to review business matters, training opportunities, and goal progression.
  • Create and/or maintain centralized accounting documents, such as charts of accounts and standard operating procedures.
  • Evaluate all dealership internal controls, including accounting, and offer insight to tighten controls to control leakage and hold relevant associates accountable.
  • Prepare and provide reports, or request for additional information on a timely basis or by deadline, if given, by the CFO.
  • Maintain financial records and reporting, including budgets, forecasts, actual performance, and variance reports against operational KPIs.
  • Prepare and provide sales and expense analyses for all departments at each location.
  • Assist dealership managers and leadership with financial statement understanding to both interpret reports and create action plans as needed to improve the organization.
  • Develop proficiency with DMS (Motility), Excel, and Google Sheets and drive to become the go-to person for all related issues.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above in accounting or relevant experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of dealership accounting experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications: CPA strongly preferred.
