We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs and provide information to diagnose patient illnesses.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures through proper positioning and image technique.
- Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images.
- Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and other types of care to patients.
- Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.
- Associates Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology/ARRT and state license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred.
