GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Instruct college-level courses in Agriculture/Agribusiness. Faculty members are expected to accept assignments that may include non-traditional formats, such as evening, weekend, dual-credit, blended, hyflex, and/or online courses. Additional responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to: student advising, recruitment, maintaining office hours, participating in college committees, promoting and supporting student extracurricular activities, engaging in the mentor/mentee program, participating in professional development, engaging in the faculty evaluation program, collaborating across campus departments and with industry partners to establish student pathway entry and exit points, developing student communication, computation, and problem-solving skills, and overseeing and evaluating students in internships as well as regular coursework. This position reports to the Division Chair of Business Programs and does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

NOTE: This is a security-sensitive position, and a thorough background investigation will be conducted on applicants being strongly considered for this role.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Restricted-sustained posture for extended periods; light lifting, some walking, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis. Minimal Hazard/Exposure - Standard office environment with basic environmental controls in place to ensure health and comfort.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Master's degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in agriculture.

Experience: Teaching experience at the postsecondary level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: At least two years of teaching experience at the postsecondary level. Experience in developing and teaching online courses.
