We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Host at Sassy Bass. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a unique and memorable dining experience for our guests by warmly greeting them upon arrival, efficiently seating them at tables, and delivering exceptional service throughout their visit.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant
- Greet and seat guests promptly and efficiently
- Record guest names and party sizes, provide menus and inform servers of guests' needs
- Assign guests to suitable tables according to rotation and server loads
- Locate waiting parties when tables become available
- Ensure guests' satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints, and make conversation
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and transfer calls
- Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure proper dining details and address customer concerns
- Inspect dining and serving areas for cleanliness and proper setup
- Inform guests of establishment specialties and features
- Direct guests to coatrooms and waiting areas
- Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
- Coordinate with fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant
- Fulfill additional duties as necessary to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction
Benefits and Requirements
We offer a competitive salary range of $25,000 - $35,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for growth and development within our company.
- Requirements:
- Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred
- Friendly and customer-focused personality
- Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests and understand requests for assistance
- Ability to clearly communicate guests' needs to Servers, Bussers, Managers, etc.
- Effective communication skills over the telephone
- Able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.)
