The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team at Aspiranet's headquarters in South San Francisco. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our organization, including budgeting, financial planning, accounting, risk management, and purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight of the Finance and Accounting Department.
  2. Develop and manage the annual budget and financial planning process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  3. Manage cash flow and forecasting, ensuring timely contract billing and collection schedules.
  4. Oversee the management of cash receipts, tangible assets, disbursements, federal grant reimbursement requests, and billing of grants.
  5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and compliance requirements, including annual financial statement audits and tax returns.
  6. Optimize accounting and financial management systems to promote efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.
  7. Maintain and develop accounting and financial management policies, procedures, and practices.
  8. Lead and drive a high-performing team and learning culture.
  9. Attend Board and Financial Committee meetings, providing presentations and financial updates.
