Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate care
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate the care delegated to non-licensed personnel
  • Administer medications, complete treatments, and perform venipuncture
  • Review new physician orders, ensure accurate execution, and notify the Charge Nurse and/or physician of changes in patient status
  • Provide accurate and relevant patient information reports to the Charge Nurse and on-coming shift
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting
  • Recent critical care/clinical nursing experience preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Certification preferred
