Weekend Schedule- FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY
The unit is the primary cardiac and stroke unit. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the following diagnoses:
- Stable pre/post care for pacemaker implantation
- Implanted cardioverter/defibrillators
- Cardiac catheterization
- TR bands
- Post uncomplicated interventional peripheral vascular procedure/cardiac interventions without sheaths
- Non-rebreather mask with stable O2 saturation
- Unstable angina
- Low risk chest pain evaluation
- CHF
- Dysrhythmias
- All NEW CVA, TIA patients
The unit typically turns over 78 to 90 patients a week. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a fast-paced unit and will be able to titrate cardizem drips.
Special Equipment- Telemetry and pulse ox
- High Flow O2 (STABLE)
- Non-Rebreather Mask (Only if Palliative)
- Bipap can be used, only if it is chronic use
- Blanketrol NO: UNSTABLE O2 W/ BIPAP, NON REBREATHER, Respiratory Rate > than 35, O2 Sat than 60mEq/Liter
- Pyxis
- Dimensions (EPIC)

Weekends- FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY
36 hours.
Scrub RequirementsNavy blue or white or a mixture of the two. Jackets are to be same material and color as uniforms.
