Job Summary

The City of Hemet, CA is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Police Reserve Officer. As a key member of our public safety team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in our community while gaining valuable experience in law enforcement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in patrolling assigned areas to maintain public safety and prevent crime.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide support to regular police officers.
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and prepare reports as needed.
  • Interact with the public, provide information, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Must have successfully completed a POST-approved Basic Police Recruit or Level I Reserve Academy.
  • High School graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Meet standards of physical stature, endurance, and agility established by the City.
  • Pass a thorough background investigation and obtain a clearance from the Department of Justice.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make quick decisions, and respond to emergency situations. The successful candidate must be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
