The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SMT Field Service Technician to join our team. As an SMT Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Traveling to client sites across North America and internationally to install, maintain, and service SMT equipment.
• Setting up and installing cutting-edge SMT equipment, ensuring it meets operational standards.
• Training operators, maintenance staff, and engineers on the proper use and maintenance of our machinery.
• Providing on-site and remote technical support, solving mechanical, electrical, and software issues to keep customers up and running smoothly.
• Performing preventive maintenance and calibration, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance.
• Documenting service activities through accurate records and detailed reports.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to offer feedback and suggest product improvements based on customer needs and experiences.

Requirements
To be successful as an SMT Field Service Technician, you will need:

• A degree or technical certification in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• A strong foundation in electronics, machine operation, and troubleshooting.
• Preferred 1-3 years of experience supporting or servicing SMT assembly equipment (e.g., pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, etc.), though training is available for the right candidate.
• Comfort and skill in explaining technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in reading electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics/drawings (training available if needed).
• Strong problem-solving skills and an attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and handle the logistics of travel.
• Must be willing to travel regularly to client sites across North America and beyond.
