Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric / Neonatal Critical Care Transport Team as a Critical Care Transport Nurse. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care and make a significant impact on the lives of critically ill patients.

About the Role

This challenging and rewarding position involves providing competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards, coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting, and working rotating shifts and bases with the Pediatric / Neonatal Critical Care Transport Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized patient plans.
  • Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and paramedics, to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to maintain open communication, promote a positive work environment, and foster a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
Requirements:
  • A graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing with a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
  • Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), BLS-Healthcare Provider, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required prior to hire.
  • Pediatric trauma certification such as Pediatric International Trauma Life Support (PITLS), TNCC, or ENPC within 1 year of employment.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in pediatric or neonatal emergency or critical care management with NICU or PICU preferred.
