Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Hospital for Behavioral Medicine in Cherry Valley, Massachusetts.

As an Occupational Therapist with our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and contributing to the well-being of individuals and families in need. Your primary focus will be on planning and implementing activity services for assigned programs, defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational, Recreation therapy, humanities, social work or related therapeutic discipline, or a Master's degree preferred. Certification or licensure by state and/or national governing body in occupational or recreation is also required. One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, is preferred.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' physical and mental health needs
• Provide educational sessions and activities to promote independent functioning and social skills development
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Document services rendered and progress towards treatment goals
