Medical Assistant Trainee

Under the supervision of the Medical Practice Supervisor, the Medical Assistant Apprentice will participate in a formal on-the-job training program with the goal of completing the classroom and hands-on clinical experience, meeting eligibility to successfully complete the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam from the National Health Career Association.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in a formal on-the-job training program
- Complete classroom and hands-on clinical experience
- Meet eligibility to successfully complete the CCMA exam
- Provide patient care services in an ambulatory setting
- Interact with physicians and other healthcare practitioners
- Work in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with computer applications and software applications
Weeks Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital offering medical, surgical, and intensive care services. We provide a wide variety of outpatient services, including cardiac and physical rehabilitation, a fully-staffed oncology department, 24-hour emergency care, a fully equipped laboratory, and an extensive radiology department.
