About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Calibration Engineer to join our Powertrain Calibration & Evaluation Department. As a member of our diverse team, you will be responsible for calibrating engine control systems to meet Toyota, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Job Description
  • Execute engine control development activities as part of a calibration team to meet requirements for North America and global markets.
  • Complete engine calibration and testing in accordance with Toyota procedures to meet regulations and performance targets.
  • Lead projects for upcoming powertrain & vehicle development efforts.
  • Continuously improve software and calibration quality for Toyota vehicles.
Responsibilities
  1. Data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  2. Generate and present technical reports on a regular basis.
  3. Interface with other engine calibration functions and vehicle departments.
  4. Develop new procedures & tools for testing, data analysis, and calibration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; or commensurate experience.
  • Proven experience in calibration, powertrain controls including hybrid and PHEV systems; and/or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with engine bench and powertrain dynamometer systems.
  • Deep understanding of internal combustion engine theory/practice.

Estimated Salary

$115,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
