About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at Healthcare Services Group. As a key member of our dining services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents and clients receive high-quality food and exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
- Assist in receiving, storing, preparing, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
- Support the Dining Services Director and Dietary Aide as needed, and direct other employees with approval.
- Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow safety precautions when mixing and using cleaning solutions.
- Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met, and follow infection control and universal precautions policies.
- Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Positively represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff.
- Interact with residents, staff, and facility guests in a positive, pleasant, and tactful manner.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- After completing training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in food preparation preferred.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required based on State/County law.
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Must live in the service area.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $20.00, with offered rates determined based on applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the specific needs of the facility serviced.
