Job Summary: As a Seasonal Cashier at Northgate Markets, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. You will be the face of our company, and your role will be crucial in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in our stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide fast and friendly service to customers, answering their questions and resolving any issues they may have.
- Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment.
- Stock shelves, face merchandise, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Assist customers with bulk products, answer questions about products, and provide recommendations.
- Process sales transactions, handle returns and exchanges, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
