Certified Nursing Assistant In-Training (CNAIT) Role

The Citadel of Sterling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant In-Training (CNAIT) to join our team. As a CNAIT, you will be part of our training program, working closely with our experienced nursing staff to develop your skills and knowledge in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist nurse aides with designated resident care, including eating, drinking, and personal hygiene.
  • Receive and carry out instructions concerning specific feedings, hydration, and personal hygiene care needs of assigned residents.
  • Assist with activities of daily living and provide care and services as directed by staff nurses.
  • Develop written plans of care for each customer, identifying problems and needs.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, making rounds as needed.
  • Perform various tasks, including making beds, changing linens, and straightening rooms, closets, and drawers.
  • Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, as needed.
  • Conduct skin checks during dressing, undressing, turning, and repositioning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in a state-approved CNA training program within 45 days of hire.
  • Pass the CNA Competency Examination and be listed on the Healthcare Worker Registry within 120 days of hire.
  • Be at least 16 years old, of good moral character, honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Demonstrate interest and/or knowledge in caring for the ill, disabled, and elderly.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current CPR certificate or become certified within 90 days of employment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling, with or without mechanical devices.
  • Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards. Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required.
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
  • Meet all health requirements as needed.
