Design Engineer

Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our Services_AME team in the United States.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering details and drawings using CAD, Bills of Materials, and engineering specifications to enable the complete manufacturing of pump products.
  • Perform design and layouts of standardized pump components, assemblies, and equipment.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, procedures, and related materials.
  • Review proposals, customer orders, and specifications.
  • Check and approve drawings prepared by CAD drafters.
  • Perform design calculations to validate design layouts.
  • Perform reverse engineering of parts.
  • Participate in administrative functions of the department, including order and design review meetings.
  • Support Application Engineering role with quotations in overflow situations as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent in training and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in the design of rotating equipment or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Very organized with ability to prioritize.
  • Good computer skills, mechanical drafting skills using CAD, and reading/writing skills.
