Job Designation
Assemble mechanical and electrical units along with related assemblies. Lock wire, identify, and create nameplates as indicated on engineering drawings. Perform various related tasks.

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical units following shop orders (Job Instruction Sheets), diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assemble mechanical components associated with actuators, solenoids, coils, proximity switches, and fields, among others.
  • Solder assemblies.
  • Assemble complete units under supervision, ensuring safety measures are followed.
  • Operate light machinery, presses, and nameplate marking equipment.

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 1. Occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs. 2. Occasional exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes.

Materials worked on:
Components from ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, electrical wires, safety wires, housings, etc.

Equipment used:
Voltage and resistance equipment, presses, and nameplate marking equipment.

Tools used:
General hand tools associated with assembly.
