Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Intern to join our team at the Hui Zhang Laboratory in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Washington State University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge research project focused on Immunology and Cancer Biology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in complex laboratory experiments in cancer immunotherapy and analysis of immune functions in mouse models.
• Conduct investigative procedures, modify procedures to accomplish research goals, and collect, process, and analyze data.
• Work under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI) to prepare manuscripts for journals or presentations for conferences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent related field experience.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and with groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with common laboratory procedures, such as preparation and standardization of solutions and constructing recombinant plasmids.
• Experience with animal handling and cell culture.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
