Role Summary

This position is part of Rivian's Connectivity SW team, focusing on automation development. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automation frameworks, automating new features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute automated tests across multiple vehicle platforms to ensure high-quality and efficient testing.
  • Manage test schedules and optimize test resource utilization to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure safe operation of automated vehicle test setups by creating and enforcing operating procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain automated vehicle test setups to ensure uptime and schedule regular maintenance and inspections.
  • Source and develop automated vehicle test equipment as needed, collaborating with stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
  • Debug issues with automated test setups and test scripts to ensure timely resolution.
  • Create dashboards for automated test results to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in software development or automation roles.
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and experience with automotive protocols, such as CAN.
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming languages, with a solid grasp of object-oriented concepts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, applying creative and critical thinking to deliver exceptional results.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with build infrastructure (Make, Scons, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with robotic automation and embedded devices
  • Linux basics and experience with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB, etc.)
  • Android/IOS automation or mobile app development
Compensation and Benefits

Rivian offers a competitive salary range of $116,000 - $145,000 USD for California-based applicants, with actual compensation determined by experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental, and vision insurance packages for full-time employees and their families.
