Job Title: Recreation Aide II

The Town of Zebulon is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Parks and Recreation team as a Recreation Aide II. This part-time role will provide administrative support to our Community Center, assisting with daily operations, community outreach programs, athletic programs, special events, and facility rentals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with the implementation of various programs, including educational classes, community outreach programs, special events, and sports competitions.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as responding to patrons, taking program/athletic registrations, setting up and breaking down necessary equipment, and designing and distributing marketing materials.
  • Maintain and oversee day-to-day facility operations and cleanliness, ensuring a safe and satisfactory experience for visitors and participants.
  • Work varying hours, including weekdays, nights, and weekends, contingent upon program, activity, event, and facility demands.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in customer service, recreation programs, and sports is highly desirable.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred; ability to obtain certification within 4 months of employment.
  • Valid NC driver's license required.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working outside in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity, and precipitation. The ability to work in these conditions is essential.
