Role Responsibilities

We are in search of an Echocardiographer PRN to join our team, ensuring we deliver high-quality, efficient care to all patients. If you share our commitment to patient care, we invite you to consider this opportunity.

The Echocardiographer plays a vital role in supporting the values and mission of Rose Medical Center. This position involves performing echocardiograms to aid in the diagnostic assessment of cardiac health by utilizing an echo machine to capture and evaluate wall motion, valvular function, and heart kinesis, which are essential for diagnosing cardiac and valvular disorders. Responsibilities also include assisting with stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms as required by the cardiologist and referring physician. Additional duties may encompass compiling monthly statistical reports for the supervisor, scheduling inpatient and outpatient procedures, calculating test data for physician interpretation, and other ancillary tasks related to departmental activities.

Position Requirements:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified and/or registered cardiac diagnostic sonographer (or eligible to obtain certification within one year). Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Education and Training: Associate degree or equivalent with technical training from an accredited program.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of recent hospital or clinical experience is preferred.
