Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to residents in a variety of settings, including long-term care facilities and community-based programs.
  • Assess residents' physical and psychosocial needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education to residents and their families.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered, and provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Document resident interactions, outcomes, and care provided, and maintain accurate and confidential records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
  • Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
