Structural Fitter and Fabricator

At Steel Service Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Structural Fitter and Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our production staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and productivity of our structural steel fabrication operations.

We offer a competitive salary for this position, estimated at $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This is a full-time opportunity with a flexible schedule.

1. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits to ensure a secure working environment.
2. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using various welding techniques.
3. Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
4. Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using precision instruments and tools.
5. Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
6. Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
7. Weld separately or in combination, using various metal alloys.

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• No prior experience necessary, but previous welding or fabrication experience is an asset.
