Visual Impairment Specialist Teacher

At Soliant, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Visual Impairment Specialist Teacher to join our team. This role will focus on providing specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, helping them achieve their full potential in both academic and life skills.

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students with visual impairments using adapted teaching methods and materials.
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs and abilities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Teach students skills such as Braille, adaptive technology, mobility, and orientation.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field with a focus on visual impairments is highly preferred.
• Certification in Teaching Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) is required.
• Experience working with students with visual impairments, including knowledge of Braille and/or assistive technology, is highly desirable.

• An estimated salary of $40-$60 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
