Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at UTMB Health. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research and a passion for advancing knowledge in the field of anesthesiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and report research in the field of anesthesiology under the supervision of a faculty mentor.
  • Perform surgical procedures and provide intensive care to animals with severe acute lung injury.
  • Provide intensive care with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation to animals with severe respiratory failure.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate complex research experiments following general technical procedures.
  • Work with the Principal Investigator to formulate research plans, coordinate project activities, and establish reporting procedures.
  • Contribute to scientific analysis and interpretation of projects.
  • Prepare manuscripts, meeting presentations, and perform background literature searches.
  • Make modifications to research procedures in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.
  • Adhere to internal controls established for the department.
Requirements
  • Ph.D., M.D., or Doctoral equivalent in any field.
  • One (1) year of completed Postdoctoral Fellow research experience.
