We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher to join our team at International Leadership of Texas. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for providing students with a comprehensive and engaging social studies education.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum and show evidence of preparation.
- Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, materials, equipment, and technology that reflect understanding of individual student differences.
- Conduct assessments of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities.
- Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students.
- Work with other staff members to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
- Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers and oversee completion.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned, curriculum, and instruction.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- One-year student teaching or approved internship.
