Job Summary

Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a skilled MRI Technician PRN to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, positioning patients, and performing related duties to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to make image scans of designated portions of the body
  • Adjust equipment and patient to correct positions for each examination
  • Instruct and explain procedures to patients
  • Select proper technical factors, on an individual patient basis
  • Perform reconstruction and special processing of data
  • Record and maintain data on optical disk and hard copies and logs
  • Arrange, attach or adjust immobilization and supportive devices to obtain precise position, prevent motion and aid in patient comfort
  • Practice sterile techniques and prevent cross contamination
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness, including provision for the contamination free condition of room, equipment and personnel
  • Demonstrate Customer Service/Service Plus principles and behaviors appropriately
Requirements
  • High School Graduate. Associate Degree or equivalent in Radiological Technology preferred
  • Must have been either Grandfathered by the state of Texas or passed with a certificate from a Radiology program accredited by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists, American Society of Registered Technologists, and American College of Radiologist required
  • BCLS certification required
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, post-primary certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging-ARRT (MRI) within 6 months of hire or a certified American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMIT) required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Texas Medical Board (TMB)
  • MRI experience preferred
