SUMMARY:

This role involves facilitating the procurement of real estate interests from impacted property owners through established right of way methodologies, proficient communication abilities, adherence to legal protocols, and specific client requirements by executing the key responsibilities outlined below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Interpret and analyze maps and construction schematics.
  • Possess a solid understanding of real estate legislation and terminology.
  • Familiarity with the procedural sequence necessary for successful acquisition.
  • Proficient in reviewing public records to ascertain surface ownership.
  • Identify and locate landowners.
  • Draft Affidavits as required (e.g., Descent and Distribution; Identify, Use, and Adverse Possession).
  • Map property descriptions based on public records.
  • Comprehend appraisal principles, methodologies, and property valuations.
  • Effectively articulate acquisition processes and requirements while engaging in good faith negotiations with landowners to secure agreements.
  • Maintain precise records of all interactions with property owners or their representatives.
  • Keep detailed and accurate parcel files.
  • Timely complete all necessary documentation to meet established deadlines.
  • Provide testimony in legal proceedings, as necessary.
  • Obtain any required county, state, and federal permits.
  • Prepare parcel documentation for the condemnation process, as needed.
  • Exhibit the ability and willingness to collaborate with all team members assigned to the office.
  • This position reports directly to the Right of Way Supervisor.
