Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Twin City Fan Companies, Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in our value stream, managing and delivering production schedules, and partnering with support departments to ensure the highest quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement in the value stream through process analysis and implementation of new procedures.
  • Manage and deliver production schedules, ensuring timely completion of work orders and accurate inventory management.
  • Partner with support departments to update and create standard work (work instructions) as needed.
  • Train operators and ensure they follow detailed work instructions, processes, and procedures to correctly produce products.
  • Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Confer with other supervisors to ensure the production schedule and commitments are maintained.
  • Partner with the quality, engineering, and maintenance departments to ensure problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials are resolved correctly in a timely manner.
  • Take corrective action on deviations and analyze key issues affecting the value stream, initiating action plans as needed.
  • Highlight critical issues in the value stream to operations leadership and partner with internal customers and suppliers to ensure orders are delivered on time.
  • Oversee the scheduling, production, and inspection required per the value stream, completing daily metric trackers, scrap records, training records, and other documentation as required.
  • Complete production reporting of work orders to ensure accuracy of component inventory and studies production work schedules, estimating employee hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production/department schedules and goals, upholding 5S requirements and maintaining a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Ensure a safe place to work, supporting communication through daily pre-shift huddles and daily management of employee issues and problem resolution.
  • Ensure good teamwork among value stream employees, improving morale and motivation through implementation and completing annual performance reviews for operators in the area of responsibility.
  • Comply with the policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the TCF Quality System, acting, living, and behaving by TCF Core Values and demonstrating the TCF Leadership Competencies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 requirements
  • 2-5 years leading or supervising others, proven ability to effectively lead and direct the work of others, and delegate as needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as policies and procedures, work instructions, and standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, meticulous record-keeping capability, and excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information, including performance, illness, investigations, and personal information.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and personnel with little to no supervision, high level of initiative, and flexibility in adapting to changing needs of a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations, and Required Training
  • The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company: Forklift Certificate, Bridge Crane Training, Fall Protection Training.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuously or as needed, stand; walk; use hands to finger, ability to reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl in small spaces.
Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles, and/or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
