Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from approximately $38,400 to $47,100, based on hourly rates of $18.50 to $22.75.

Job Description: As a Transportation Specialist with Eskaton, your primary responsibility will be to provide safe and reliable transportation to our residents. This involves driving a large van to transport residents from their homes to various destinations, using wheelchair lifts when necessary, and ensuring adherence to all applicable state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a large van to transport residents from their homes to various destinations
  • Use wheelchair lifts when necessary to assist residents
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable state regulations
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety
  • Provide fuel and oil for the vehicle as needed
  • Keep the vehicle clean and maintain its condition
  • Assist with scheduling routine mechanical maintenance and use of backup vehicle
  • Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid California driver's license, and the ability to operate a large van safely. You should be at least 21 years old, have no moving violations or accidents within the last three years, and possess any special operator's licenses necessary for operating the van. Experience with handicapped transportation is a plus.
