  • You are comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • You are able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
  • You are able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • You have open availability of (15 to 20) hours per week.

About the Role

  • You will provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
  • You will take an active role in assisting the management team to build store business.
  • You will support all service enhancers to build strong relationships, including active use of Concierge.
  • You will service multiple customers at a time, multi-task, and/or handle projects simultaneously.
  • You will be aware of fashion trends and seek information about all new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, fashion, etc.
  • You will use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs.
  • You will develop and maintain positive working relationships that support a productive work environment.
  • You will proactively communicate store information, brand initiatives, discrepancies, and other pertinent information to management in order to better enhance the customer experience.
  • You will maximize individual performance by participating in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching, and feedback.
  • You will achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas, including Clientelling/Outreach, Appointment Setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
  • You will support all areas of operational excellence, including managing inventory according to policies and procedures, including filling orders, recalls, recovery, replenishment, re-tickets, etc.
  • You will be responsible for leading/supervising others on occasion and opening the store for business and/or closing the store.
  • You will plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet the needs of the customer and business.
